The Farm.

Tenuta Santa Tecla is principally a farm that produces certified biological fruit of a wide variety. The original plantation and irrigation system dates back to the nineteenth century and was composed largely of a flourishing lemon grove that the present owners have maintained and improved by grafting other varieties of Mediterranean citrus fruits. Walking through the property one can find many different types of orange, mandarin and grapefruit trees and a vast variety of other fruit trees coming from the best nurseries in Italy.
The farm also produces an exquisite olive oil that you may taste and buy on location together with the fine local wine, followed and checked in every production stage by the owners themselves.
As you explore the grounds along the various paths through the lemon grove, you will come across a botanical garden with a wide variety of Mediterranean and tropical plants all catalogued and described in detail. Your meandering will finally bring you to the biological vegetable garden where many of the ingredients for your evening meal will come from.
Animals aren’t missing, for the joy and entertainment of your children there are Tibetan goats, donkeys, hens, geese and other small pets.

The Tenuta Santa Tecla

Was established by renovating the various properties situated in the grounds of the farm. There are several different types of accommodation on offer, all integrated in the lemon grove and orchard.

Getting there :

From Catania Fontanarossa Airport

- Take the Tangenziale West
- Procede to Messina
- Take the A18 highway (CATANIAT-MESSINA) 
- Exit Acireale
- Stay on the Ring road
- Once at the crossing, turn left to Giarre
- Go on SS114 Viale Ionio, pass the ERG gas station, follow the "Tenuta Santa Tecla" signs on the right.

From Messina (ferries)

- Take the A18 highway (MESSINA-CATANIA)
- Exit Acireale
- Stay on the Ring road
- Once at the crossing, turn left to Giarre
- Go on SS114 Viale Ionio, pass the ERG gas station, follow the "Tenuta Santa Tecla" signs on the right.

From Palermo

- Take the A19 highway (PALERMO-CATANIA)
- Once on the Catania West Tangenziale proced in Messina direction.
- Take the A18 highway (CT-ME)
- Exit Acireale
- Stay on the Ring road
